Vapes and electronic cigarettes are an increasing challenge for school management. Our vape detection solution greatly enhances the detection of vaping instances within school facilities such as bathrooms and helps reduce their usage.

how does it work?

By locating one of our Air Quality Vape Detection Sensors in each area, typically a bathroom. This sensor continuously monitors the air quality and creates an alert within the platform when vaping is detected.

Alerts are sent as push notifications to smart phones, SMS messages or via email. Multiple users can be logged into the platform via a browser login or an android and iOS app. This allows real time monitoring of all bathrooms or monitored areas from a single app.

A compact dome camera can also be located outside of the bathroom looking down at the door of who is entering and leaving the bathroom. Each time an incident of vaping is detected, a recording of the time around the vaping instance will be available on the platform.

CLOUD-BASED SOFTWARE

Browser-based Application

The solution is fully cloud-based with no requirement for local software. If installing multiple solutions, all devices are managed in the same platform.

Only a Power over Ethernet (PoE) data cable is required to connect each area where a vape sensor is located. Our engineers can install these cables or you can use your own electrical contractor.

INSTALLATION NOTES

All prices quoted do not include installation, in most cases school caretakers should be able to install these sensors. We will setup and commission each sensor including labelling it with the name of the relevant area so once you receive your sensors all you have to do is connect them to the POE data point and login to the platform to start using.

Our team will provide full remote support to ensure that you are able to use your solution and a clear video showing you how to install these devices will be provided. We can provide an onsite installation service, for pricing contact our technical sales team and they will assist you further with the cost of this service.

Our solution has several sensor readings which contribute to the Vape Index’s accuracy including: Motion, Air Quality Index, TVOC, PM 2.5.

What we have found amongst our vape competitors is that they only detect and alert based on Pm 2.5, which leads to a significant amount of false positives due to “masking” such as using spray deodorant. Our algorithm is able to accurately eliminate those false positives and be over 95% accurate in detecting vape.
